The day\u2019s motto, \u201cThe same sea within us all,\u201d was written by an Estonian author Jaan Kaplinski. <\/p><p>The goal is to strengthen the sense of belonging to the Baltic Sea region and our cultural identity in all of us\u2014especially among residents of coastal areas\u2014and to raise awareness of our shared responsibility for protecting the Baltic Sea and its future.
